December 2010 Coffeehouse

On Thursday, December 16th 2010, Writers Ink hosted a coffeehouse featuring student and faculty performances that ran the gamut from student poems to spoken word hip hop. An audience of about 30 people nestled into the Lecture Hall at Watertown High School to enjoy 90 minutes of entertainment that included Appalachian fiddle tunes by Benjamin Wetherbee, an original poem by Nicole Panza, and a guitar duet of Tonic's "If You Could Only See" by Mr. Demaio and Mr. Cooke. Mr. Fetbroth brought his usual exuberance to the reciting of a Shakespearean sonnet. Writers Ink meets every Thursday after school in Mr. Cooke's room, and we will be planning another coffeehouse this spring, so join the fun and get your creativity flowing!
